This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs use of Waveie internet service, Waveie Mobile service and any Waveie equipment. It forms part of the Terms of Service and uses the same defined terms.
It applies to you, to everyone in your household, and to anyone you allow onto your connection. The account holder is responsible for all traffic that leaves their connection, whether they generated it, a guest did, or a compromised device did.
Use the connection the way a household uses a connection. Do not use it to attack, defraud or spam anyone, do not resell it, and keep your own devices clean.
You may not use the service to do, or to help anyone else do, any of the following.
Waveie respects intellectual property and expects its customers to do the same. Using the service to reproduce or distribute copyrighted work without permission breaches this AUP.
Copyright owners may send a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to our designated agent. A valid notice must identify the work, identify the material and its location with enough detail for us to find it, give your contact details, and include the statements of good faith belief and accuracy, under penalty of perjury, that the DMCA requires.
Waveie maintains and reasonably implements a repeat infringer policy. When we receive a valid notice we forward it to the account holder. Accounts that accumulate repeated substantiated notices are subject to escalating action — warning, then a temporary restriction, then suspension, then termination of service in appropriate circumstances. We take account of counter-notices and of whether notices appear automated or erroneous.
If you believe material was identified in error you may send a counter-notice with the statements the DMCA requires, including consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court.
Send notices and counter-notices to our designated agent through waveie.com/support, marked for the attention of the DMCA agent.
This section is our public disclosure of how the Waveie network is managed. We publish it so that customers, and anyone considering becoming one, can see exactly what shapes the speeds they get.
Waveie is a fixed wireless provider. We do not own radio spectrum or cell sites; we buy wholesale capacity from mobile network operators and deliver it to customers through a gateway we supply. Our customers therefore share radio capacity with that operator’s own subscribers and with other wholesale customers.
When a cell carries more demand than it has capacity for, the operator’s scheduler allocates capacity by priority class. Our plans map to those classes:
| Plan | Class | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Essentials | Always deprioritised | Served after higher classes whenever the cell is busy, at any hour. Data is unlimited and never hard-capped, but peak-hour throughput can be substantially reduced. |
| Plus | Standard | Deprioritised only while a cell is congested. |
| Ultra and Elite | Premium | The highest class available to us. |
This is a class-based mechanism applied to the connection as a whole. It does not depend on what you are doing, which site or application you are using, or who provides it.
Typical speeds and latency for each plan are published in that plan’s Broadband Facts label on the plans page. You can measure your own connection with the Waveie speed test, which runs against our own server.
Prices, the Auto Pay differential, equipment charges and the Price Promise are set out in the Terms of Service, Section 5. There are no data caps, no overage charges and no early termination fees on residential plans.
Most abuse we see from residential connections is not deliberate — it comes from a compromised device. You are expected to take ordinary care:
If we notify you of a compromise and you do not act, we may restrict the connection to protect the network and other customers.
We would rather fix a problem than end a relationship, and in most cases a notification resolves it. Where it does not, we escalate proportionately:
We may skip straight to suspension or termination where the conduct is severe, unlawful, or an active threat to the network or to another person — and we do so immediately and without notice for child sexual abuse material or an active attack.
We do not monitor the content of your communications, and we have no obligation to police what customers do. We do monitor the network for operational and security signals — traffic volumes, abuse reports, attack signatures — and we act on what those show. Where law requires it, we respond to lawful process; see the Privacy Policy.
To report abuse originating from a Waveie connection, contact us through waveie.com/support or call 888-212-WIFI. Please include timestamps with time zone, IP addresses, and log extracts where you have them — without those we usually cannot identify the connection.
Reports of child sexual abuse material should also be made to the CyberTipline at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
We may update this AUP. The current version is always posted here with its effective date, and material changes are notified as described in Terms, Section 17.
